This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Uxbridge Man and Van is taking to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. Our Business and Supply Chain

Uxbridge Man and Van provides local and regional transport, removals, and related services. Our workforce includes directly engaged personnel and a limited number of regular subcontractors who support our operations. Our supply chain primarily consists of vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, packaging material providers, and cleaning and facilities services.

Given the nature and scale of our business, we consider our operations to be at relatively low risk of modern slavery. Nevertheless, we acknowledge that risks may exist at different levels of our supply chain, and we are committed to identifying, preventing, and addressing those risks in a systematic and proactive way.

Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery

Uxbridge Man and Van operates a clear zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, and human trafficking. We will not knowingly engage with or support any organisation, individual, or practice that exploits people or violates their fundamental rights. This commitment applies to our employees, workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Our zero-tolerance stance is reflected in our internal policies, supplier expectations, and decision-making processes. Any breach or suspected breach of this policy is treated as a serious matter and may lead to termination of contracts or working relationships, as well as reporting to the relevant authorities where appropriate.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect all suppliers and subcontractors to uphold standards that are consistent with our values and legal obligations. When entering or renewing supplier relationships, we assess suppliers for their approach to labour standards, working conditions, and ethical conduct. This assessment may include written confirmations, policy reviews, and, where proportionate and practicable, on-site visits.

Uxbridge Man and Van is introducing a risk-based supplier audit process. Higher-risk suppliers, such as those using agency labour or operating in sectors or regions with elevated modern slavery risk, may be subject to more detailed checks. Where concerns are identified, we will work with suppliers to address issues through corrective actions and monitoring. If meaningful improvement is not achieved in an agreed timeframe, we reserve the right to reconsider or terminate the relationship.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

We encourage all employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to report any concerns about modern slavery, unfair treatment, or unethical behaviour connected to our business or supply chains. Reports can be made confidentially through our internal reporting channels, either to a line manager or a designated senior manager responsible for compliance.

We do not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith. All reports are taken seriously and investigated promptly and objectively. Where appropriate, we will take remedial action and cooperate with law enforcement and other relevant bodies.

Training and Awareness

Uxbridge Man and Van provides appropriate guidance to managers and relevant staff to help them recognise potential indicators of modern slavery and understand how to respond to concerns. We aim to embed awareness of modern slavery risks into our day-to-day operations, supplier management, and recruitment processes so that ethical considerations are part of routine decision-making.

Annual Review and Continuous Improvement

This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed at least annually by senior management to ensure it remains accurate, effective, and aligned with legal requirements and best practice. As part of the review, we consider any incidents, concerns raised, changes in our supply chain, and feedback from employees and stakeholders.
